TORRINGTON — There will be no outright champion on the CTC Nutmeg golf circuit this spring.
Wolcott Tech earned a share of the division title by defeating Wilcox Tech 207-216 on Tuesday at Torrington Country Club.
The Indians had been unbeaten in CTC play. They are now 13-2 overall, 8-1 in the CTC and 5-1 in the Nutmeg Division.
Wolcott Tech is 11-4 overall and 5-1 in the Nutmeg.
Both teams will join Charter Oak Division champion Ellis Tech on May 30 at Orange Hills Country Club and the three will play for the overall conference championship.
On Tuesday in Torrington, Wilcox Tech’s Ryan Pellegrino shot a 9-over-par 45 to earn medalist honors.
Also scoring for the Tribe were Cole Maluszewski (53), Colin Fletcher (57) and Alex Segaline (61).
Middletown 186, Maloney 216: Matt Bahre shot a 42 for the Spartans in the CCC South loss to the host Blue Dragons at Lyman Orchards.
Bahre was one stroke behind medalist Noah Blake of Middletown.
The Blue Dragons remained unbeaten with the win, improving to 10-0 overall.
Maloney, now 4-8 overall and 4-6 in the South, got additional scoring from Josh Farnsworth (52), Kory London (60) and Nicholas Camera (62).
Fairfield Prep 152, Sheehan 186: Will Mallek led the Jesuits on their home course at Brooklawn Country Club, earning the medal with a 1-over-par 37 in a SCC contest in Fairfield.
Julian Nirmal shot a 41 to lead Sheehan. Ryan Carey came in at 45 for the Titans.
Sheehan, now 5-10 overall, also got rounds of 50 from Corey Savenelli, Tyler Ekstrom and Olivia Wilson.
Lyman Hall 177, North Haven 205: The Trojans improved to 6-7 overall with their second SCC win in as many days at Wallingford Country Club.
Lyman Hall heads to Hunter Golf Club on Wednesday to square off with Wilcox Tech. The Trojans edged the Indians 198-210 at Wallingford Country Club last Monday.
