Support for McDonald

Editor:

Vote for Sean McDonald for Meriden City Council at Large. He is dedicated and loves our city and will work tirelessly to improve our community. With his strong commitment to public service he is the best choice to represent our interests and bring positive change to Meriden.

Properly trained

Editor:

To letter writer Colleen Cyr  and in defense of the Woods ’N’ Water column that appears every Friday in this newspaper I will say this. If kids today were properly trained in the use of firearms for hunting purposes and the applicable licenses were obtained, perhaps our packages wouldn’t be stolen off our front steps and we wouldn’t have to wake up in the morning wondering if our cars were still there.

I never hear of a kid being arrested for squirrel hunting but I see plenty arrests for car theft, burglary, and whatever crimes they decide to commit. No, "we are not living in the 1920s" as you said, but I wish we were given what’s going on with our youth today.

I for one can’t wait to add a little squirrel meat to my pasta sauce.

Happy hunting!!!!!

Frank Milano Jr., Meriden
