Not more taxes

Editor:

I am extremely pleased that Len Suzio has entered the political arena and will be running for our state Senate seat again. I hope we can all band together to support him as this state is in dire need of his common sense and wisdom. The Democratic leadership is desperately sinking our Connecticut ship and we need a good anchor. Governor Lamont has been saying of late that the coronavirus is ruining our state economy, which is a laugh. It has been ruined by years-old Democratic giveaways and mismanagement long before this pandemic. Mary Abrams’ record on these issues has shown she is a Ned puppet. Let’s see some spending cuts and more attention to progress, not more taxes.

Think about the pets

Editor:

The dog kennels are mostly empty since many people are at home now due to COVID-19 restrictions. My concern now is that after the quarantine, they will go back to the shelters. I will feel sorry for the dogs (and cats). I hope people are thinking ahead about care for their pets when they return to work or school.
