Wallingford ARPA funds topic on ‘Citizen Mike’

WALLINGFORD – On the latest episode of the “Citizen Mike Show,” host Mike Brodinsky and Republican Town Councilor Autumn Allinson discuss the council’s decision to get an independent legal opinion on whether the town’s Law Department was correct when it advised the council that it could not appropriate federal ARPA funds without the mayor’s recommendation.

Allinson also discusses other issues related to ARPA grants, and her reaction to the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade.

At last week’s meeting, councilors approved the creation of a business grant program for ARPA funds and laid out a roadmap for a committee to evaluate applications.
