Southington firefighters keep fire from spreading into Dunham St. home

SOUTHINGTON — Firefighters were able to extinguish a small fire that started on the outside of a Dunham Street home before it could reach the inside of the residence. 

Fire Battalion Chief Glenn Dube said the homeowner reported the fire at 255 Dunham St. shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday. 

Firefighters stopped the fire within minutes, limiting its damage to the exterior. 

Officials reported no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
