Elks Lodge donates to Community Soup Kitchen



Hamden Elks Lodge 2224, serving North Haven and Hamden, recently presented the Community Soup Kitchen with a check for $3,500. The funds will be used for programs benefiting needy families and individuals.

Lodge President Andy Caporossi and Vice President Fred Romano presented the donation to Community Soup Kitchen Executive Director Joshua Watkins and staff members Lozer Bayler Jr. and Winston Sutherland.

The Community Soup Kitchen, founded in 1977 by graduate students at the Yale Divinity School, has served well over 2 million meals.
