Meriden man killed in Haddam head-on crash

MERIDEN — State police say a city man was killed Wednesday in a car crash in Haddam. 

Gerald P. Esposito, 32, of Meriden, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police. The head-on collision occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Route 151, in the area of Haddam Neck. 

Esposito was traveling northbound in a 1996 Honda Civic DX when his car collided with a second vehicle, a 2019 Hyundai Sonata Sport, at a curve in the roadway, according to police.

Police said the second driver, Lauren Ashley Billings, 24, of Moodus, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital.
