Police investigating after shot fired into State Street building

MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a shot was fired into a State Street apartment building on Sunday. 

Police responded to Meriden Commons, 161 State St., around 3:39 a.m. Sunday for a report of gunshots, according to police reports. Officers found damage to a glass door, a bullet fragment and a shell casing, Sgt. Michael Boothroyd said Monday. There were no injuries. 

Detectives are working to find any witnesses or cameras that may have useful information, Boothroyd said. Additional information was not immediately available.
