Police investigate non-fatal shooting outside Meriden bar

MERIDEN — Police are investigating an early morning shooting outside a North Colony Road bar.

Officers responded to the Tequila Galore bar, 575 N. Colony Road, shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday following reports of a shooting.

Police found “a large amount of blood in front of the establishment,” along with at least one spent shell casing, but no victim, according to a statement. Moments later, police received a call of a gunshot victim that had been dropped off at Midstate Medical Center.

Police determined that the person was the victim from the North Colony Road shooting, according to the statement. The victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
