Death of Southington woman found near Cheshire trail ruled suicide



CHESHIRE — The death of a 49-year-old Southington woman found off the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in February has been ruled a suicide. 

The ruling in Lisa Charette’s death was made by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Police said it closes the investigation. 

Charette’s body was found about 70 feet off the trail, near Schoolhouse Road and West Johnson Avenue on Feb. 19 around 9:35 a.m.
