Meet the Candidates: Brenden Luddy

Under the leadership of Mayor Mark Kaczynski, Berlin has had 59 new business open, 25 business expand, with approximately $86 million in private investment and 785 new jobs.

Congratulations should also be given to our Economic Development Department, Volunteer members of the Economic Development & Planning & Zoning commissions, and other town departments and commissions, that have risen to the challenge of changing the way Berlin does Business under the leadership of Mayor Mark.

The Democrat challenger for mayor, Sam Lomaglio, has disparaged our many small business owners and claims our economy is “stagnant.”

I beg to differ, as Berlin’s economic development has also been recognized in two newspaper articles: New Britain Herald, 2/17/2021 – “Berlin becoming hotbed of business growth”; and Record-Journal 4/15/2021 – “Despite pandemic, Berlin welcomes new businesses.”

I ask for your support to help Mayor Mark Kaczynski and the Republican Team to continue the economic success we have seen.

Brenden Luddy is Deputy Mayor of Berlin.
