Matt Tencza is running for a spot on the Berlin Board of Education. Previously, he served six years on the BOE, three as board president. Also, he spent time as BOE secretary, communications committee chair, and finance committee chair.
“My platform is rather simple,” Tencza stated. “I want today's students and the students of tomorrow to have the same opportunities that my children had ...”
Tencza said that can be achieved by “always asking ‘what is best for our students?’”
The candidate added, “I believe my professional experience and experience on the board serves as a great benefit to the town of Berlin.”
Tencza is Business Manager for Plymouth Public Schools. His adult children, Ben and Kim, are products of the Berlin school system.
Tencza has lived in Berlin for 27 years. He and his wife, Vonda, have been married for 29 years.
