Mark M. Pruzin is running for reelection to the Board of Education. He currently serves on the BOE’s Community Engagement Committee and Social Justice and Equity Committee.
“My goals are to continue to work with the Board of Education to provide an excellent curriculum and education for our students. We need to ensure that the students are in the safest environment possible and do what is in the best interest of the students and the Berlin School District,” Pruzin said. “It is important to support the school district’s mission and purpose. It is important to ensure that the policies and procedures that govern our education system are up to date and comply with the laws and regulations of the state. Communication is key between the Board of Education, administrators, students and, most importantly, the parents.”
“If elected to the Board of Education in November 2021, I will continue to work hard to make decisions that are in the best interest of the students and the Berlin School District,” he added.
Pruzin is employed as a Senior Buyer at Paradigm Precision. He is a military veteran, having served nine years in the United States Marine Corps.
A longtime community volunteer, Pruzin received the President of the United States Award for Volunteerism, for registering more than 5,000 hours in support of various causes. Most recently, he took part in the House of Heroes event in East Berlin.
From 2009 to 2013, Pruzin taught six subjects as an Adjunct Professor at Albertus Magnus College, and has officiated ice hockey and softball up to the NCAA Division I level.
Pruzin holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Management (MSM) from Albertus Magnus, and certification in Logistics and Supply Management from Georgia Technical Institute.
Pruzin has two children and two grandchildren, and is married to Re.
