Hats off to officer
I am writing this letter to recognize Police Officer Matthew Heartline, who was monitoring traffic on Bradley Avenue while Eversource was working on the street. I was running out to pick up a prescription for my diabetes when I ran into a problem with my garage door. It would not stay down. Officer Heartline agreed to keep an eye on my house while I made the short trip to the pharmacy.
When I returned, I attempted to find out what was going on with the garage door. Without asking, Officer Heartline volunteered his assistance. He discovered the problem and the garage door finally shut and stayed down. So, this senior citizen says: “Hats off to Matt for the heartline he extended to me.” I am very thankful and grateful for the kindness he showed!

Thank you, voters
Connecticut voters could have held Democrats responsible for the mess the state is in, but instead gave them total, unchecked control. After only a month with this new power, Democrats called to raise the income and sales tax, proposed new taxes on groceries, medicine, real estate and cars and want even more regulations to punish businesses. The plan for new tolls is moving forward and a Democrat from Manchester is “proudly” sponsoring a bill to make Connecticut a sanctuary state.
Thank you, voters. When you lose your job because your employer can't afford to stay here anymore, go look in the mirror for help. I'll be too busy checking under seat cushions for money to pay for all this as well as the next annual Meriden Democrat tax increase, which is right around the corner.
