Woman faces drug charges after material found during traffic stop
WALLINGFORD — A Hamden woman faces charges after police said she was found with cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop Friday.
Heather Skinner, 39, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating with a suspended license, operating without insurance, misuse of marker plates and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Skinner’s car was pulled over on Hall Avenue about 1:20 p.m. An officer found the license plate on Skinner’s car was registered to a different car.
The officer detected an odor of marijuana and in a search of the car found 23 small baggies that contained about four grams of crack cocaine, 4.3 grams of marijuana and 75 empty baggies.
Skinner was taken into custody and released on $2,500 bond.
