PLAINVILLE — A woman faces charges after police said she dragged an 89-year-old man with a car after a dispute.

Neysa Campos, 25, of 210 Country Club Road, New Britain, was charged Feb. 8 with second-degree assault, second-degree assault on an elderly person, first-degree reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and using a motor vehicle without permission.

On Feb. 7, the 89-year-old man told police Campos, his roommate, took his car without permission after a dispute, according to a police report. The man said he picked up Campos in New Britain around 8 p.m. and drove her to his Plainville home, but once there, she wanted to go back to New Britain.

Campos left the home with the man’s keys when he refused to drive her, the report said. The man followed Campos outside, grabbed the side door of his car, and was dragged down the driveway as Campos drove off. The man suffered a two and a half inch cut on the back of his head.

Campos was arraigned in Bristol Superior Court on Monday. Bond was set at $25,000 and she is due back in court on March 6.
