Meriden police charge woman with vandalizing home, car

MERIDEN — A New Britain woman faces charges after police said she kicked in the door to a home and vandalized a vehicle in February.

Arianna Direinzo, 28, of 49 Lawlor St., New Britain, was charged Monday with criminal attempt to commit second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

On Feb. 23, police responded to a home for a report of a domestic incident, according to police spokesman Sgt. Darrin McKay. Direinzo reportedly kicked in the back door of a home, causing glass to shatter on the porch, McKay said. She then vandalized a vehicle.

Direinzo was released on a promise to appear in court. She was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday and is due back in court on April 17.
