MERIDEN — A 17-year-old has been charged in a Friday stabbing on St. Casimer Drive.
The teen, whose identity was not released, was charged with first-degree assault and breach of peace, Detective Sgt. Robert Nesci said Monday. He was expected to be arraigned in juvenile court in Hartford on Monday.
Police responded around 7 p.m. to a report of a stabbing, police spokesman Sgt. Christopher Fry said. A man in his 20s suffered a non-life threatening stab wound and was taken to Hartford Hospital.
Police said the stabbing stemmed from an altercation.
