Upcoming holiday fairs in the Meriden-Wallingford area 


*St. Peter’s Church annual Christmas Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the parish hall at 59 Main St. The bazaar will feature a raffle of gift baskets as well as handmade quilts, crafts, gently used gifts, ornaments and other seasonal decorations. An array of costume and antique jewelry and lots of homemade baked goods will also be featured. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to welcome children from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A lunch featuring homemade soups, breads and desserts will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 203-272-4041.


*United Methodist Women’s Holiday Fair Saturday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 159 E. Main St. The Fair will include: The Boutique Christmas Shop; gift Baskets; lunch to eat-in or take out; baked Goods, jams, jellies, pickles, relish; crafts & beautiful quilted items. *South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church Holiday Bazaar – Saturday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 145 Main St. The event will include holiday crafts, fabulous gift baskets, baked goods, jewelry and a great café featuring soups, sandwiches, desserts and more.

*Christmas on the Hill hosted by Our lady of Queen of Angels, 585 Main St., campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Nov. 24. Offering tables of crafters, candy cane cafe, basket raffles, bake sale, cookie swap, cemetery logs, kids’ korner and tag sale.

*Christmas in the Village, non-profit and for-profit vendors wanted for Christmas in the Village! Saturday, Dec. 1, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Main Street, South Meriden, with up to 2,500 guests. Table space is free, but we encourage you to have give-aways, food samples, activities and /or raffles. Absolutely no selling or solicitations of any kind. Bring your own table, chairs and stuff. *The Unitarian Universalist Church, has scheduled its holiday fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at 238 Paddock Ave.


*Grace United Methodist Church, 121 Pleasant St., will host its annual Christmas Tea and Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Features include knitted and craft items, unique ornaments, gift items, homemade Christmas cookies and fudge, plus a tea luncheon with finger sandwiches, fancy cookies and beverages. *Masonicare Health Center on Masonic Ave., will be hosting a Holiday Fair, and is looking for vendors and crafters to participate. The fair, which will be open to the public will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, in the Auditorium and on “Main Street.” We are looking for a variety of merchandise, from sweet treats or pet treats to hand-crafted items, and holiday décor and ornaments. A registration fee is required, payable to the Masonicare Health Center. Receipt of payment will be provided for your tax deductible donation. All vendors will be provided with a 6-foot long table for their sale items. *The Highland/Fritz Elementary Schools PTO, 200 Highland Ave., (off route 68) will host its Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school. The fair will feature many crafters selling jewelry, painted items, wreaths, ornaments, candy, quilts and so much more! Refreshments will be available including homemade apple crisp.
