WALLINGFORD— The Easter Bunny will be in town Saturday with plenty of candy-filled eggs for the community to find as part of the Wallingford YMCA’s annual Egg-Stravaganza event.

The event will be held at Doolittle Park from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

“It’s family-friendly and we have spring games for people to play,” said Rob Newton, family and teen coordinator for the YMCA.

There will be two time slots for the egg hunt, according to age.

Children 6 years old and younger will start at 1:15 p.m., followed by children 7 and older at 2:15 p.m.

Catalyst Art Studio will provide art projects under the pavilion.

Other Easter-themed games will take place near the playscape.

Newton said typicaly around 300 people participate. “When people are looking for hunts in the area, ours is definitely mentioned,” he said.

YMCA members can register ahead online.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held Saturday, April 13.
