Sons and Daughters of Italy make donation

The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge 2805 recently presented a check to the Channel 3 Kids Camp, specifically to support the needs of the children attending the American Academy of Dermatology Camp Discovery. This donation was from the proceeds of Lodge 2805’s annual Fall Fashion Show.

Camp Discovery offers children living with a chronic skin condition a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Provided at no cost to the families, Camp Discovery is one week of fun for kids with conditions ranging from eczema and psoriasis, to vitiligo and alopecia, to epidermolysis bullosa and ichthyosis. In Connecticut, this camp takes place at the Channel 3 Kids Camp facility.

The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge 2805 is a local branch of the National Order Sons of Italy in America. The Lodge is a non-profit, charitable organization which seeks to perpetuate cultural identity and solidarity within the Italian- American community. Please visit the website for additional information: www.northhavenlodge2805.club/.  The fashion show is scheduled again for October of 2019.
