Police: Cheshire man charged with aggravated sex assault

CHESHIRE — A local man faces charges of aggravated sex assault and risk of injury to a minor after an incident at his home Friday, police said. 

Mark Lacy, 32, of 176 Wallingford Road., Cheshire, was charged Friday with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree strangulation, first-degree threatening, risk of injury to a minor, first-degree unlawful restraint, and third-degree assault. 

The charges stem from an incident at the Wallingford Road home on Friday morning, police spokesman Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland said. The incident was reported to police around 9:30 a.m.

Lacy is currently being held on $500,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday.
